Lanehaven Farms, Inc. (LHF) is a progressive family owned and operated corn, soybean, and hog farm located just south of Waterloo, IA.  The operation currently farms approximately 4,000 acres and markets roughly 26,000 hogs per year.

LHF is owned and operated by Curtis and Betty Hollis and son, Blake.  Curt’s father, J. Gordon Hollis, established the farm in 1947.  Curt graduated from Iowa State University in 1967.  Two years after graduating with his BS in Dairy Science, he sold the dairy herd and got into hog production.  Curt and Betty have enjoyed the hog business for over thirty years now and have seen it evolve tremendously during that time.

Blake graduated from Iowa State with a BS in Agricultural Business in 1996.  Blake’s wife, Sally, is manager of materials at John Deere Engine Works and holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State.  Blake and Sally received MBA’s from the University of Northern Iowa in May 2001.
